I think I would find it completely demoralising to have dedicated my life's work to documenting the truth and uncovering something about the human condition only to now be living in an age where facts do not matter, ethical journalism is under attack and there are too many people out there who are ready to weaponise their own controversy because any engagement good or bad, raises their profile and makes them wealthier. He genuinely seemed broken and exasperated after the Forbidden America Series. I think Louis seemed totally bewildered and shaken by just how dark this post-truth media landscape has become. ![]()
